ABOUT ME
Easy-going, kind, flexible, fun person. In my travels, I'm known for being spontaneous and adventurous. I want to experience all the greatness in the world.
Interests
I play ultimate frisbee, which is perhaps the best sport for meeting new people. The game is becoming universal and I have played with people just about everywhere I've been.
I also play guitar and love music, especially American roots music (folk, blues, country).
The outdoors are also very alluring to me. I've done a lot of hiking, and am always up for a day or two excursion in the wilderness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Waking up in a lean-to on the Long Trail in Vermont a couple of years ago. It was the beginning of our last full day of hiking, and my group and I needed to climb 9 miles up to a very high peak in 2 feet of snow, then all the way down another 8 miles. It was a grueling hike, especially because no one in our group packed warm enough clothes. When we got to the peak, the snow continued to fall, and we stopped in another shelter to attempt to eat the frozen bagels and peanut butter that we had packed. I could barely move my fingers, and thought I might lose a foot, if we ever made it off the mountain.
Once we started moving again, however, our spirits lifted. It was all downhill from there, and as the snow turned to a muddy rain, we trudged along, knowing that we'd make it. The scenery was gorgeous; snow-capped peaks shifting to the reds, oranges, and browns of the rainy autumn Vermont forests. I always enjoy hiking long trails, as the changing elevations usually create this kind of diverse scenery, allowing for a tour of nature that is the reward for the hard work of hiking.
