About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel, learn about others, learn about myself, and build towards a future through my studies!
ABOUT ME
I'm a very open-minded and easygoing person. I prefer watching a film rather than going out. I prefer to keep life simple, rather than ponder over all the other choices I could have made in the past. I am a dreamer, but when it comes down to it, I am very steadfast and realistic.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Last year in Scotland I've visited a few people, which proved to be both fun and exceptionally beneficial as this allowed me to go to places where I might not have managed to go otherwise. I've hosted a few people in my student room in Belfast for a night as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Excellent way of meeting new people and seeing new ways of life. In addition, it is always nice to return something to society.
Interests
Now that I'm living in Groningen and not travelling around all the time I have some time to try out some hobbies I've never tried before (e.g. sewing) which I will likely spend quite a bit of time on. In addition I spend lots of time with my girlfriend whom I have been with for over three years. Besides that, I love walking. Although the Netherlands is flat, there are still many beautiful places well worth walking to! Besides that I like films, historical fiction and pints of Guinness in pubs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
First of all, I was truly amazed by the beauty of the place I come from. I've been travelling all over the world and decided to do a daytrip into my own province, since I never really had. It was great to see how even so close to home, there can be a whole world of new experiences waiting for you.
Secondly, an experience a bit further abroad, was when I first came to the Highlands of Scotland. Do you know that feeling when you come home after a long trip, fall face-first on your bed and think 'MY BED'? that's what I had when I first came to Scotland. I love the mysteriousness of the West coast and the friendly people that you encounter everywere. In my country, people tend to be somewhat focussed on themselves, but Scotland really opened my eyes to the concept of hospitality.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some basic Dutch, I could tell you more about my country (which I am fairly passionate about). Possibly we would be able to go shooting (no guarantees)or I could simply show you a few good pubs in town and take walks to some picturesque villages. I would very much like to practice my German, so any germans would be welcome for sure, although Danish also sounds fascinating. Besides that I'd like to get to know more about different cultures from all over the world.
