Overview
About Me
I'm from Winnipeg, Canada, but have been living in London, England since December 2015 and will be living here until July 2017.
I'm a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, passionate about meeting new people and experiencing a glimpse into their way of life. I'm known to be energetic and full of life; I don't believe in being angry, ever. I'm a Humanities and Physical Education teacher, and I'm always looking for new ways to get outside and be active and playful with new friends. Connections, belonging, and community are what fuels me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm traveling to Lisbon, Portugal from April 4 -11.
I've been waiting a long time to experience this wonderful city and I would love to deepen the cultural experience I receive while I'm there by living with some local(s). I would much prefer to spend some good times with my host and ignite a passion within them to show a foreigner around their beautiful hometown. Bottom line, I love humans. Especially the down to earth, natural folks that just like to connect with others and create meaningful moments and relationships.
Interests
As mentioned, physical activity is a big part of my life, right now, yoga especially. I am training for triathlons as well since it is a goal of mine to complete 5 triathlons in at least 3 different countries within the next 2 years.
I'm fascinated by the endless diversity of human experiences and the stories we all have to tell. So... I'M INTERESTED IN YOU! Whoever you are.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm mainly into soul, reggae, blues, alternative rock. Al Green , Bob Marley, Buddy Guy, Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, just to name a few off the top of my head. As for modern artists I'm stuck on Cotton Jones at the moment, a glorious blend of psych folk pop.
I like independent films, especially documentaries. I'm not a sci-fi or horror fan. Anything that is relatively realistic and has the potential to "mind-fuck" me is ideal.
Books:
Brave New World
The Humans
Man's Search for Meaning
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Mount Chirripo in Costa Rica, the highest mountain in the country at 3,820 metres. It wasn't wildly dangerous but it was definitely a great journey that took a surprising amount of mental and physical strength and I'm proud of the accomplishment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you yoga, whether it's a chilled out morning flow, an uptempo power yoga, or just play around with some cool ''party trick'' poses.
I want to learn about living sustainably, and being more self-sufficient.
We can share laughs, stories, hi-fives, hugs, and a genuine appreciation for one another. Oh, and food and booze! Preferably something unique, strange, and cultural.
