About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as many languages as I can while still young!

ABOUT ME

I am currently an English teaching assistant in Stuttgart, Germany. I have spent extensive time living and traveling in both Europe and the Middle East, but I am originally from the United States. In my spare time, I love wandering around new places, playing piano, reading, and bicycling. I also enjoying learning new languages and talking about cultures and international politics. I am generally laid back and enjoy meeting new people and seeing new places.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that no matter what language we speak, what we believe in, or where we come from, we are all more alike than we could ever imagine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really enjoying interacting with my hosts and getting a first-hand feel for my host city. I usually like to prepare a dinner with my couchsurfing hosts so we can have a chance to relax, talk with one another, and learn about each other's interests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of my best couchsurfing experiences was making dinner with couchsurfers in the Netherlands and then having a movie night together. The next day, our host took us around her city and gave us a wonderful, insiders' perspective into life in Holland.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most eye-opening experiences I had was living in Egypt for three months after the Arab Spring in 2011. I discovered an entirely new way of life and witnessed a monumental event in Egypt's modern history. I also realized how easy it is to take life for granted and how privileged I am to have the opportunity to travel and live a comfortable life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my passion for travel and languages with other people. I've often found myself helping other people learn a language, and it brings me great joy to talk about my own culture and language with others.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Cuba, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Oman, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Egypt, Germany, United Arab Emirates, United States
