About Me

ABOUT ME

I love martial arts, traveling, british music, sports, trekking, hiking and all outdoor experiences. Passionate about reading and writing fantasy and fiction literature, I have three books published; visiting other countries and meeting new people helps me keep writing!

I love my job as a teacher and I love working to be able to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Make friends from all nationalities, visit all the countries I can before I die, life is amazing! but also short.

I have had the chance to stay with wonderful people who have left in my travels not only great experiences, advice, memories and many laughs, but also great friendships that I hope to meet again at some point in my life.

Interests

Make friends, visit places, train, have a walk, and have a drink... or two.

I like to meet locals so they can show me the way to go to have a complete experience of the country I am visiting. You cannot find everything on the internet, there's nothing better than meeting new people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Oasis, Blur, Travis, Kasabian, Liam and Noel Gallagher, The Smiths, Morrissey, Gorillaz, James, Jake Bugg, Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, Massive Attack, Beck, Pulp, MGMT, Coldplay... basically I enjoy everything that comes from the United Kingdom!

I also love listening to great master soundtracks like Howard Shore, Hanz Zimmer, John Williams, James Horner and more.

Jazz, blues and swing can be accompanied with a glass of wine.

Movies: I love Tarantino movies, but I have those favorites that I could see again and again: The Last Samurai, Snatch, Fight Club, Shape of Water, Lion, La La Land, The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series, Avatar, Eat, Pray, Love; Inception.

I love TV series, my favorites are: Merlí, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, La Casa de Papel, Lost, Kung Fu, Rome.

Books: I'm a big fan of my teachers through the pages: Tolkien, Rowling, George R.R. Martin, Stephen King, Laura Gallego, Orson Scott Card, Michael Curtis Ford, Chris Bradford, Scott Reintgen and a lot more.

As a high school teacher I like that my students read all kinds of books: from science fiction to those that talk about social problems. You never know when a book can be of help to a teenager, or an adult, like me. This school year we read: The Young Samurai, Wonder, La Ciudad de las Bestias, Nyxia, A Monster Calls, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, Ready Player One, The Body,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived and trained martial arts with Buddhists Monks at a traditional temple in Korea. As you see in the movies! It was AMAZING! I learned many things about the lifestyle of the monks: their simplicity and the constant search for inner peace. I hope some day to achieve a little of how much they have to teach.

I have written two books : La Concordia: La Batalla de Azur and La Concordia II: El Favor de la Luna; the third part of the saga is about to arrive!

Walk, feed and swim with elephants in a sanctuary in Thailand. No animal abuse like riding them, just pure love!

Load on my shoulders to Fran Healy, singer of my favorite band Travis, during a concert they gave a few years ago.

I have made the road to Santiago ... twice. The friends with whom I did it will be for life!

I suppose things like diving in beautiful waters of Thailand, having a coffee in the highest point of Korea, traveling to a bachelor party with all my friends in the Bahamas, converting a dollar in a hundred betting in Las Vegas with my friends, spend New year on a beach in Finland, singing in a karaoke in Japan, partying in China and greeting the pope in Italy are part of the amazing things I've done in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you martial arts, to speak some Spanish, or I can share all the things that I have done in my life, but I think that is what one can learn from other people what is really worth in life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I offer my hosts, first of all, respect. I am very respectful of each person's beliefs, ways of thinking and philosophies of life.

I always have a hand to offer help.

I believe in gratitude as a virtue, and I try to live by thanking everyone and everything around me.
