CURRENT MISSION
Mission? Oh I don't know.
ABOUT ME
This section is always hard to do, don't you think? I'm a 28 year old Seattleite currently living in Mallorca, Spain teaching high school English. I generally spend my free time just hanging out with friends, having drinks, going to shows, riding bikes, playing in the park/beach on sunny days, hiking, camping, and traveling whenever I get a chance to. I enjoy a good book or movie as much as the next guy and am just as likely to spend two hours talking philosophy or quantum physics as I am to spend two hours playing video games or people watching at a cafe. I'm pretty easy going and always interested in learning something new.
PHILOSOPHY
I kind of take life as it comes. I think everyone I meet has something that I can learn from and that I offer something to be learned to everyone in return. One of the reasons I love traveling so much is because it lets me see a new way of looking at things. Experiencing different ways of life and talking to people with unique world views helps construct my own beliefs and attitudes and I'm always fascinated by those differences even if I don't always agree with them. Ultimately I think people are just people and no matter where you go there is something inherently similar in all of us.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to couchsurfing myself, but I have several friends who host and surf and I have always had a blast with the people I've met through this program. I think this is a great way to meet local people and get a more genuine feel for the places I go.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think my funniest experience with a couchsurfer was with this crazy Australian (why are they always Australian?!) who was staying with a friend of mine in town. I forget the guys name, but we were all drinking one night and he was having such a good time in America that he decided he should try to marry someone so that he could stay as long as he wanted. He then proceeded to ask each girl in our group for their hand in marriage, promising a luxurious Vegas wedding, but when they all said no he just started asking complete strangers until he found a nice lesbian girl to agree. I don't think they ever did get married, but it was a pretty comical sight to see a drunk Aussie wandering around trying to convince people to marry him.
Intereses
I kinda went over this in my "about me" section but I'll just list some things I enjoy: board games, bicycling, booze, buddies, boating, bathing in the sun, bouldering, book reading, bussing to new places, bumping some jams, breaking it down, burgers, being in new cities, bengal cats and beating up babies (that last one is a lie)

Música, películas y libros
There are WAY too many.
Algo increíble que he hecho
Roasted a marshmallow over hot lava at the top of a volcano in Guatemala. That was pretty cool.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
Oh dear, I don't know. I can tell you a lot about language? I can take a bottle cap off with my teeth? I used to know how to knit? I can make grass whistle? I'd love to learn how to make a good creme brulee?
