ABOUT ME

Besides studying mathematics, I am a pianist, love to be involved playing or conducting in shows and musicals, am an avid walker, rookie sailor and wannabe traveller.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A couple of my housemates will need persuading, but personally I am very excited about the prospect of hosting travellers from far and wide. I can cook, offer space on sofa/floor/bed. Happy to show you a small part of my world in York.

My 'serious' music appreciation begins at Bach and stops at Schoenberg, though love all things Jazz, live music... Books/films too numerous to list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer 2012 I went on a week's small sailing voyage from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight, Alderney, Guernsey and Jersey. Whilst we were never really very far from land, the thrill of being out in the open water, not being able to see anything other than blue, was second to none. Waking up to a full panoramic sunrise. Feeling utterly free.

Teach, Learn, Share

Piano! I will happily teach and play for anyone who would like to explore the rich world of 'piano'. I'm fairly knowledgeable on all things classical music. I can try to explain what on earth mathematics students do all day. Cooking. Am always keen to learn more about almost anything.
