About Me

ABOUT ME

In a new environment I can be a bit drawn back but I usually get into in pretty quickly. Learning about new things is something that I really like, whether it's about food, video games or about how it is living in a certain town/country. I like it when things are happening. I can have a problem with too strict routines so I try to break my own routines a bit and not always go with what I'm used to.

PHILOSOPHY

Try new things. Don't be too quick judging people negatively.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I'm studying on the university in Umeå and I have an apartment with a matress and a sofa that a couchsurfer can sleep on!

I really like travelling so I hope that I could find someone here who is willing to have me stay on their couch. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't hosted a couchsurfer myself but when me and my brother lived together we had some people from Stockholm, and another time a person from Lithuania that came and slept at our place. All my couchsurfing experiences has been positive!

Interests

Well I really like music. I play in a lovely punk band with lots of speed and I go to concerts in my hometown all the time. I really like traveling to other places and going to concerts there. Another thing I really like doing is arts and crafts: sewing, painting on stuff, working with wood and other kinds of stuff is really fun! The third thing i like is traveling and just generally doing stuff that isn't everyday things. Ping pong is really fun also, let's play ping pong together!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is hardcore punk bands like Ninor Threat, Dick Tracy, Society System Decontrol, BRUDTE LØFTER, Siege, Deep Wound, Surf Nazis Must Die, Slöa Knivar, Regulations, Mocho Cota, Infest and lots lots lots more.

Books: metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, Legion of the damned by Sven Hassel, the professor's beloved equation by Yoko Ogawa, Fermat's last theorem by Simon Sigh and some other books. Books are really fun but with my ongoing education I usually just read my schoolbooks instead.

Movies: 12 angry men (1957), dracula (1933), the wolf man (1941), Some like it hot (1959), Dead men don't wear plaid (1982), Singing in the rain (1952).. I don't know why the year would be so important. I really like movies. I'm involved in a b-movie club in Umeå where we watch crappy but sometimes good movies every wednesday, it's great!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer of 2011 me and a good friend went out into Europe travelling by train. One exciting thing we did was that we slept in a huge abandomned building in Berlin.

The trip I just mentioned was filled with really memorable moments. After Berlin we went to Ljubljana. We were there for about 24 hours. We went for a city tour in the morning but we went the exact opposite of the way we should've walked, and we found a squat. It was an old bike factory. It wouldn't have been special if we wouldn't have met a woman who was camping there with her family. Me and my friend stayed there the whole day and talked about all sorts of things. Becoming friends with strangers like that is really great.
