About Me

Adventurous and enterprising person (sometimes maybe too much :), positively thinking, open-minded (some people say it but don't really mean it, that's not my case), reliable, competitive, intelligent, currently studying aerospace engineering. I like challenges, winning and I like to try where are my limits and get to know myself better through different life situations. I don't believe in god but I believe in human beings and that everything is possible when you really try. I don't give up so easily. When visiting foreign cities I don't mind walking even long distances in some parts of the city not interesting for a tourist, because I can better get to know the place and see things tourists usually don't see.

I am from Prague, Czech Republic but I lived for about a year in Adelaide, Australia and for another year in Chennai, India, both I did as an exchange student. I would like to see as much of this splendid planet as I can in the short time we were given :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To hear stories of other people, to see and understand how they live and listen to their visions of life, all that can enrich me and inspire me. I have surfed many times and have met many amazing people. I am glad that I could host as well during my stay in Adelaide, even though I am not able to host in Prague. I have met some of the best people in my life through CS and if I hadn't joined this website years ago I would have missed a lot! It's just amazing, how people can help each other and be friends.

Interests

Traveling, hitchhiking, riding motorbikes, hiking and camping, I love mountains and great views, observing animals and how they act, stars and the universe, getting to know people and trying things I have never done before. Sports - especially weightlifting and curling which I do regularly (when I don't travel), science and new technologies, engineering.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Amélie, Forrest Gump, Home (2009), Intouchables, Godfather, Lord of War, Professional, Inception, Memento, Shake Hands with the Devil, Wave, Dark Knight, The Yes Men Fix the World, Banksy - Exit Through the Gift Shop, ... These are the best ones I remember. Recently I watch TV or movies very rarely.

Music: Perhaps any type, when it's appropriate to the situation, except for very loud music, when people can't hear each other.

Books: I don't read much, I think that the book doesn't deserve the time I would spend with it - in different words the rate between "what it gives me" and "time" is too low in comparison to other things I can do. And I don't like to escape to "other worlds", I rather live my own one :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I decided to go to Israel on my own for 40 days, when no-one else wanted to join me, since I didn't want to spend my life waiting for someone.

I went to a CS meeting in Adelaide and asked few people if someone could host me for couple of days, before I find some normal place to stay for few months. I ended up staying there (of course not for free :D ) for an entire semester with one of the best people I have ever met in my life as housemates, I felt like I won a lottery :D

I hitchhiked over 25 000 km in Australia and New Zealand in about 6 months and discovered different person in myself.

I climbed two about 6150 m high mountains in Ladakh, India, it was amazing.
