About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take inspiration from everyone and everything. Freeing myself of anything I would like to be free from. Continuing to expand my mind so that I may experience all that life is offering. To experience, share, laugh, dance and learn from and with people all over the world. To become more aware of the beauty that is there in every moment.

ABOUT ME

Finally I realize what it's all about. Being yourself. Loving yourself (therefore everything else, because you are it). Joy. Choosing to be joyful, even for no good reason. Changing and vibrating through life with a sense of ease, adventure, playfulness, and surrendering to our good and our innate creativity and emotional expression of life. And loving every minute of it and being grateful for all the experiences, the seemingly good and not so good. And learning to embrace and to work with my shadow side, and naughty sides so that I may create an experience, a life that I truly love living.

Wow, I did it. I have moved to Vancouver. What an adventure this is...

I am someone who is in a constant mode of transformation and change of my inner world. What does that mean? I strive everyday to care less about the things that don't matter such as greed (your material possessions own you, not the other way around), societal status, vanity, building a false sense of self(ego), and freeing myself from all ideology that is not helping me live a more joyful, peaceful, passionate life. And realizing that all I really truly care about is the impact I have on another, on you. The joy we may bring to each other, the inspiration, the help that we may provide, letting someone know that you care about them, not their money, or what they can do for you, but because they are an amazing soul in a human body reflecting love back at you, and just the compassion, empathy and understanding that we all crave as living beings. And just know that when I use language, I understand that all experience is beyond words and ideas, because they are just creations of the human mind and they are just pointers, symbols, etc.. they are not the real thing. You can't explain love to someone who has never fallen for anyone. You can't explain the smell of a rose to someone who has never experienced it. All there is, is experience. Life is experience. So why not enjoy the experience. And choose your experience of it. I know I am fully in control of my experience of my life. I think that might be the only control I have.

I am a truth-seeker so to speak. I'm very inquisitive and am interested in the stuff of life whether that be the nature of the human condition, spirituality, philosophy, astrology, psychology, nutrition, eastern and western religions, fitness, astrophysics, eastern medicine and Ayurveda, mythology, social economical issues of today, sociology, political issues (not so much anymore now that I realize life is about joy and love, not worrying about crap people do to each other), the state of our planet and of our society.

I feel the urge to live a different kind of life, one that is not reliant on the structures of society and capitalism in order to obtain a sense of peace, wellbeing, and aliveness. If anyone has gone through similar experiences and have found a place in life that suits them better than the hustle and bustle of Western society, any advice would be much welcomed.

I am very passionate person and I care about a lot of issues but I don't always show it because it can be quite intense when I start talking about the things I feel strongly for, so I sometimes hold back but then I diminish my light and so causing communication to stagger. But darn it, I'm in Vancouver now, so time to start being more myself more often.

When I say I have eclectic tastes in things, I do mean it. I try to see the good/interesting in all therefore I'm rarely bored. There is so much beauty in life and it is so very interesting.

I am a big proponent of healthy living of the mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy yoga, strength training, and staying active in all sorts of ways, and anything done amongst nature gets extra brownie points! I try to eat as much raw organic fresh green veggies as possible because that is how we heal our bodies and our planet.

Never pass up the chance to try something new and even better if you are afraid of it!

PHILOSOPHY

Never stop having fun and being joyful. Let that kid inside, out! Let it flow through you as you flow through life with ease and grace.

Live and let live and don't forget to floss!

Alan Watts is probably my favorite intellectual/philosopher. But I learn from all teachers and guides, which is really every single living being that is alive.

Everyone is unique and special and have within them great potential for a great many things, they just need to acknowledge it, embrace it and work towards it.

"Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right." -Henry Ford

Happiness is great when we have it but it should not be a negative thing when happiness is not present. If a person is always happy then she/he will not know what happiness is. Silence is also something I embrace. I just find it too bad that modern culture tends to, perhaps unintentionally, make silence out to be a negative, like silence equals uncomfortable emotions or awkwardness. Not in my book. There is peace and calm in silence. Silence is the source of all inspiration. Doesn't mean I don't like all night rave parties and events like Burning Man! ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yoga teacher training, amazing experience.
Discovery seminars, a human experience indeed.
But most importantly, taking full responsibility for my life. Knowing and realizing that all the suffering that has occurred in my life was due to my conditioning and my own perceptions of events, and now knowing that I am in full control of my life. It is exciting when you realize that you are in the driver's seat of your own destiny, and ever discovering new ways to take back the control from your conditioned negative perceptions about yourself and existence.

Teach, Learn, Share

"You have the capacity to change the plotline of your life, even if you've been acting from the same script since before you can remember. No matter what has happened up to this point, you have the right and the capacity to be happy. You are an innately creative being, capable of writing a love story worth living." David Simon (RIP)

"Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace." Amelia Earhart
