About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To participate in the Eurovision Song Contest

ABOUT ME

We like to talk and to dance and to make people smile and be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We like to practice language learning and meet interesting people from across the globe, and share some of our silliness :)

Please be aware though that we do not live in London. Chesham is around one hours journey from London City Centre. If you want to Couchsurf with us in order to see London, you are welcome, but we do not live in the most convenient sight-seeing location.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We kicked off the CouchSurf experience in Denmark when we saw the amazing aqua live in concert and stayed with Rasmus, who really gave us a magnificent impression of couchsurfing and made us want to continue to meet more brilliant people.

We then had our first hosting experience, a musician on tour with a guitar and bicycle, bringing some very welcome humour and philosophical insight into our lives. Feel free bring your guitar too and sing us some songs!

Then we went travelling with Nick & Karly from Down Under around Germany, where we stayed with Signe, who taught us about Berlin rave culture and that a living room wall is an open canvas for her amazing artworks. Nick & Karly later came to visit us back in England with their son Jude - hopefully his knowledge of Baa Baa Black Sheep is down to our good teaching :)

For our next trip we had a most fantastic experience with Cristina, who despite being flooded out of her own home, let us stay with her Grandmother, who taught us some very useful Italian phrases and cooked us a splendid local meal, we had great fun with her and her beautiful city.

Shortly afterwards we travelled to Austria and stayed with Ina and her family in a beautiful village where we learned about local customs at Easter-time, such as hen's eggs and foot washing!

Back in Chesham, Jakub and his girlfriend introduced us to the world of Geocaching, which apparently we live in a great hotspot of, and we heard all about their intrepid adventures across Europe.

A brief visit to Stuttgart enabled us to meet Julie and Heiko, who helped us learn more German and taught us about local driving laws so we didn't get our hire car clamped!

A great friendship then developed between us and Ajda from Slovenia, who we have visited in her home town and she has also come to us in Chesham. We wish her well in her many adventures and look forward to keeping in touch.

Another visitor to Chesham was Moritz from Austria, who ended up staying two weeks while on an internship and we thoroughly enjoyed his company, and we know that he enjoyed meeting all our local friends and absorbing local British culture.

Then we had double Danish trouble in the form of Nima and Daniel, who had to extend their stay because we had such a great time and pretty much became part of the family, capped off with a literal couch surfing experience....the sofa is looking forward to a return visit!

Who will be next on our adventures?!
