Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly I love to visit beautiful cities and to explode them. Usually I take a printed guide and inspect all the submitted sights and this way I saw lots of amazing things. But if you have a "personal guide" or just someone who can recommend you the real important things to visit (like a cute cafe ;-)) you get to know a city so much better. I don't feel like being a typical tourist anymore and I think I miss so much if I just follow the familiar. Staying with locals would give me the chance to find a new access to a new city.
Secondly I enjoy meeting interesting people. It's exciting to get an impression of how they live and what they think. Like mostly all travelers I'm not just looking for nice pictures, but for new experiences and one of the greatest experience is to get in touch with other cultures. I hope that couchsurfing.com alleviates me great experiences with fascinating people.

Interests

Of cause I love traveling like all members at couchsuring.com, otherwise I wouldn't register here ;-) Currently I try to visit many great cities and countries in Europe, because they are not so far away, but so differing and varied, but I am also excited to explode North America. So far my favorit stays were in the Baltic states, Scandinavia and Rome.
While being at home in Germany I spend my free time on reading, dancing and meeting friends. I love good music, especially rock music, and funny films, but they can't be stupid. I am very interested in getting to know new things for example learning languages (at the moment it's French). That's why I'm looking forward to make new experiences with couchsurfing.com and to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: For me the best music rocks. I am fine with charts, but to dance, relax and enjoy I need electric guitars. I love bands like arctic monkeys, 30 seconds to mars, franz ferdinand, billy talent...
Movie: I like funny films, but they can't be to stupid. My favorit movie is the french comedy "Nothing to Declare". I also like to watch american comedies with romantic happy endings and sometimes it's okay to watch action movies or thrillers too.
Book: I can't mention a few favorit books. I've already read so many great books and it always depends on my mood, which category I prefer at the moment. Currently I choose literature for young people like "The hunger games" or "His Dark Materials".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my opinion the most amazing thing I have done was to quit my save job and my appartment for being free to travel around North America from this fall on.
