About Me
***Please read entire profile prior to requesting thank you!***
We are a couchsurfing family. We are in the tourism business (eco).
Me: Mom, to two little ones, wife and social entrepreneur trying to make the world a better place! Married to a Tarahumara (Raramuri Indian). We just launched an eco tourism business-- cultural tours. You can find out more about us on the about page of our website http://www.ecoalternativetours.com
Unforunately because of the volume we can't host many people and we are very selective. If you want a guaranteed stay with us you can find us on airbnb.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Interested in helping out travelers coming to the area. I share my favorite places and recommendations on things to do in Creel. Especially enjoy meeting open minded folks who are seeking a greater understanding of the local indigenous culture. And folks who are interested in sharing a bit of their culture with us as well and hear the ways you help to make the world a better place.
*in order for us to continue to host the cs community, yes it's not about one, we are all in this together, we CANNOT lend you our kitchen to prepare your individual meals and or lend the kitchen in any way. (Please don't ask to make an exception).
Interests
Recently become very interested in eco tourism and all its facets. Culture. Meditation and mindfulness. Organic gardening and vegan cooking. Practicing gratitude!
Also, interested in current events- what's going on in the world, social movements.

If you want to be considered to stay with us you have to mention the keyword "community" that way I know you actually read my profile and are looking for more than just a place to stay. It's fine if you are but then we aren't the place for you! Please remember this isn't a hotel, this is our family home.
Also, we are no longer hosting more than 2 people per request, so don't message me later to ask for an additional friend or friends. Although, we invite multiple cs's at a time our experience has not been great when too many friends come together-- it prevents us to be able to get to know you because often larger groups of travelers communicate amongst themselves and not with us which is the whole purpose.
Gratitude goes a long way!
We do ask of couchsurfers who stay with us to reciprocate in a way you see fit while you are with us. We believe this is within the spirit of couchsurfing as well as having a cultural exchange. Could be helping around the house, fixing something or offering to make a meal from your host country whatever talent you bring:)) Don't worry a small gesture is fine we know you are here to visit the area in a finite amount of time.
