Overview
About Me
easy going .. and open minded..
I studied tourism business and was traveling a lot between my 20s and 30s.. and working several years for different tour operator company’s . I love to meet people from different cultural backgrounds and listen to their stories. the appartment is a three room appartment plus kitchen, bathroom and balcony to the back. located in the center of Nippes and it would be a sleeping-couch in the living room available for one or two persons. I can supply bedsheets, blankets and a towel. Smoking is ok on the balkony. Important: there are two cats living also in the flat. They are used to hang around people and quite friendly :) I have got a ten year old daughter who lives part time at my place and part time at her fathers. So when she is here I will not always have capacity to host. As I am working on normal office hours on weekdays I might not always have time to hang out and show you around the city but time for a meal together and a chat or glas of wine or a beer will always be I guess.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
as I am not traveling that much anymore I am happy to host other travellers and give some advise to the city plus I just realized that my language skills get totally refreshed.. :) ... I just started to play the guitar again after several years of just having it for decoration.. 😂 soo if anybody with music skills is traveling around here I would be happy to host for a guitar lesson!

Music, Movies, and Books
as for the music I am quite open minded. I personally prefer Punk, Indie and Rock Music but guests can listen to what they like... 😂 I like to go to small live concerts in bars or pubs , spending time with my friends, in summer having a drink outside in the park or on the river and to read a good book once in a while.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba diving in Papua New Guinea.
A motorbike trip through northern Vietnam.
Driving on the roads of Ireland without crashing the car.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I guess I will not be a guitar teacher... but.. I can totally tell you some of the spots or areas where it is worth going to besides the tourist hot spots.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Bathroom, Kitchen, TV and Radio ;-)
Theres also WLAN available and a bar opposite the house if you would like to have a Kölsch.
