About Me

I´m a open minded girl, I grew up in a village in South Germany. I´ve studied Political and Social Studies and I like good discussions about sociology, politics and diversity.

I've lived in Würzburg for more than three years when I was at university, two years in Munich for work and now I´m living in Mainz and working for an NGO.

In my free time I play lacrosse, ride my motorbike and read a good book. I like to meet new people, lacrosse has brought me some really good and close friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I like meeting new people from all over the world. And I think you can get closer to the people in the country when you actually live and spend time with them (:
Also, as Carol (couchsurfer from Brazil) told me: sharing is caring, I like to help people out :)

Interests

I can go for almost anything if I'm interested in but my main interests are lacrosse and good food :D

Also I found out about postcrossing last year, it´s a really cool project which also conects people from all over the world - you can find me there (nickname: MeBallonsta)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like (Punk) Rock, Indie and alternative music, my favorite bands are Blink 182 and Itchy (german band which was founded not far from my home village). But I really like to discover new music, my taste is very flexible. I´ve been to festivals since I was 16yrs old so I have seen a lot bands

When it comes to reading my favorite writer is Walter Moers. I´m really into Harry Potter so this topic is always a good start for a conversation with me :)
Also I like to educate myself about topics like gender equality and diversity. I think it is important to stand up for others who can or just be an Ally and make sure other people educate themself too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stand up paddling and coasteering in Scotland
First Trip alone to Portugal - my first couchsurfing experience
Roadtrip with my motorbike from Munich to Hamburg (with a couple stops of course!) - no highway, so I saw a lot of the beautiful landscape
Lacrosse Tournament in Split, Croatia - just flew in to gater with people from all over the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

"Sharing is caring"
I learned this from Carol (my Host in Coimbra) and I think it´s a great motto.

So if you staying with me I´m gonna share my flat, my food, my thoughts... with you :)

What I Can Share with Hosts
