ABOUT ME

* I keep my room messy and my lesson plans tidy.
* I am likely to make my own furniture from string and cardboard, but buy my dinner as a finished product.
* I spend all day nagging my students to make sure they are productive, but then am often slothful at home.
* I enjoy making the people around me the focus of my energy and concern, but am terrible at answering the phone or keeping in touch from a distance.
* I often run places instead of taking a taxi or the subway, and I sometimes do this in sandals.
* Generally, I am happy.

Interests

Eating large quantities of at least mediocre food (or reasonable quantities of excellent food), Running as a form of transportation, Taiko (traditional Japanese drumming), Math, and clever ways to help people.

Thanks to dad for listening to motown, mom for listening to the beatles, mari and sil for listening to weezer in kauai, alan benedict, ryan kruse and anthony thetford for singing unnecessarily angry music with me on the chairlifts, jon yahalom, carey tan, and dhruv kapadia for giving me more beautiful music than I've had time to absorb. Favorite Picture Books: Cartoon History of the Universe, Usagi Yojimbo, Bone, Maus, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Kanji Pict-O-Graphix.
