Overview
About Me
My wife and I work as rangers for the US National Park Service and that has us moving around the country fairly frequently. We love the National Parks and if you do to then you can come stay with us!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We want to meet some new people and keep things interesting. Also interested in finding good places and good people when traveling. I feel like I never have enough friends.
Interests
Our biggest recreational interests are in alpine climbing and trail running. The idea place for us has mountains that we can run up. But we're slowly growing some new recreational interests as well. Whitney just got a fly rod and is learning to fish. I just bought a wetsuit/snorkel after borrowing one last summer to swim in rivers and mess around with underwater photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
We live in a golden age of television and its hard not to indulge too much! We watch a bunch of shows in the winter when the darkness brings us inside early.
Recently finished The Song of the Dodo by David Quammen and I think it might be my favorite book ever.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We road tripped most of the US-Mexico border this past winter. Is that amazing?
Teach, Learn, Share
Ladybugs might look good, but they taste horrible.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We move every six months, typically to a new National Park, so our hosting ability changes frequently. But we can always provide hiking/climbing/paddling/fishing advice and might be able to show you around as well. We love cooking with guests and hanging out if possible.
Countries I’ve Lived In
Ethiopia, Kenya, United States
