About Me
Hello surfers!! I am a 35 years old guy from Spain currently living in the UK with my girlfriend Paula https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/3196971/profile . I recently started a new career in the education sector to improve my teaching skills.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard and read about it many times and I think it is a great idea to have this channel to get in touch with local people from other countries and cultures. We (Paula and me) are currently planning our first round the world trip, which we would love to enjoy for about a year as backpackers in order to learn and share experiences with people from anywhere in the world.
Interests
I do love sports, more doing than watching I have to say. I used to run endurance trails a few years ago and now I am trying to get in shape again and probably will run a race in the next two or three months.
Since I am living in the UK and have to cook every day I have realized that I really enjoy preparing and tasting new dishes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Big fan of The Corrs since I was a teenager (love Andrea Corr). I also like bands like U2, The Killers, Coldplay...
Two of my favourites movies are Dancing with Wolves and Braveheart.
Last book I read was Inferno (Dan Brown).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Among the most amazing things I have done:
1. The Camino of Santiago (Spain). It is a pilgrimage in the spanish peninsula. It took me 26 days to walk 800 kilometres and I can say those were some of the best days of my life.
2. Bungy jumping. The time stops when looking down the deep... after that a big high of adrenaline fills your blood stream and your sense of happiness reaches to the top.
3. Skydiving. I've got a video and everytime I watch it, wow!, it is simply breathtaking.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am currently a teacher of Spanish in a primary school, so I can teach not only vocabulary and grammar but also a good bit of the Spanish culture.
My girlfriend says I am quite good at cooking, so I guess I may teach at least how to make a delicious Spanish omelette.
Travelling round the world is going to be like a parallel life where I am going to need to re-learn and re-adapt my knowledge. Any valuable skill for life will be more than welcome.
I would love to share knowledge, experiences and a big slice of joy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I consider myself a laidback and trustworthy person able to learn from new friends and eager to share hundreds of stories, many of them still to come.
In a few months we will be travelling around the world getting to know places we've never been and people who will open new horizons into our minds.
