In 2013 I decided to take a break from the traditional working life and ride my bike 15,000 miles around the US and Canada. No regrets! The support of friends, family, and complete strangers on that trip changed my perspective of people, community, and restored my faith in humanity. I also saw some of the most beautiful natural places in the world from the desert of Big Bend National Park to the Canadian Rockies. Now I'm hooked on living a simpler engaging life and focusing on building a life rich in experience. A week before I left on a year long bicycle adventure I met a fellow touring cyclist running in East Rock Park New Haven. He ask me if I knew about "Warmshowers". I said, "warm what?" Over the year long trip I stayed with more than 100 wonderful, open-minded, generous people via Warmshowers, Couchsurfing and random people I met along the way. There is no better way to travel! I remain humbled by the practical support I was offered and cherish the conversations, company and experiences shared with me.
