ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Dan and I am originally from just outside Dallas, TX. I traveled to Philadelphia to attend Temple University, where I received degrees in Advertising Art Direction and Spanish Language & Linguistics. Upon graduation, I served as an AmeriCorps member in New Orleans for two years, rebuilding houses for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Then, I volunteered at the Olympics and Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro! I spent a brief stint in Waco, TX working for Magnolia in the creative department. Now I'm embarking on a new chapter as a flight attendant! Traveling is my passion, along with volleyball, design, and anything having to do with food. I hope to visit nearly everywhere in the world, all while broadening my horizons of new, cultural experiences. By visiting unknown, international destinations, I hope to gain a more well-rounded global perspective, experience new cultures, and live out the adventures of my dreams. I enjoy meeting new people and would love to gain a local's perspective on wherever I travel!

Life's too short not to have fun and venture out of your comfort zone, but it's also long enough to take everything seriously and focus on making a difference.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I look for hosts when traveling, and I try to give back whenever possible by hosting or accompanying visitors that come to my city (whichever one it may be at the time).

I’ve surfed and hosted plenty of times, and am always gathering new experiences.

I would love nothing more than to travel the world, play volleyball, experiment with new foods, and dabble in a diverse discipline of design.

I can teach English to anyone who wants to practice, but be warned it is a really messed up language with a lot of rules and even more absurd exceptions to those rules. :P

I can also teach how to cook and would love to learn in that respect as well.
