ABOUT ME

My two passions are music and literature. I love to have interesting conversations, the outdoors, to learn and teach things, to cycle, cook and, believe it or not, to travel :)
If I must describe myself, I would say that I'm kind an old school humanist, whose main goals in life are improving myself and the lives of those around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a number of couches during my travel and it was always a great experience. I have never been a host through couchsurfing, but I met a number of people through the site and I always host travelers I meet and friends in my various homes.

Interests

Mostly everything that is beautiful, fun or delicious. I love to learn about local cultures and history when I travel, which is one of the reasons why I really like CS.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

Jazz, manouche, flamenco, oldschool reggae, blues, baroque music, eastern music, mediterranean stuff, I'm open to everything.

BOOKS

Too many to even begin to list, but my three favorite 20th century writers are, at the moment, Thomas Mann, Isaac Asimov and Kurt Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer I made friends with a young crow while camping in a forest. It's pretty amazing to have a friendly bird land on my head every now and then!
