ABOUT ME
I try to toe the line between high-minded pleasures and living in a more, i dunno, carefree kind of way. Thought for a while I wanted to be an academic, but decided against. Currently getting my hands dirty doing carpentry. Working toward.. architecture maybe?
I enjoy understanding things. I enjoy building things. I enjoy the outdoors. I particularly enjoy good conversation. I enjoy drink and other such things in moderation. I enjoy both high and low brow culture. I enjoy meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Want to both host people to the area that I love and be able to take advantage of what I think might be the best of possible arrangements while traveling.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with some amazing folks on a road trip around the US a year or so ago. Hosted a few here and there as well. Current living situation not too conducive to hosting.

Who said Liberal Arts aren't worthwhile?
The arts in all their variety. Music is just way too good. I take photos often, mostly film.
Nature, backpacking, hiking, swimming (in anything non-chlorinated).
Sustainability, Craft, Building, Mechanics.
Alternative, traditional, or utopian communal arrangements and business practices. Taken with a grain of salt, they're fascinating.
Good food, wine, beer, and coffee. I often cook, sometimes successfully.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am really not even going to get started.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really do enjoy communicating and teaching. The problem is, I don't really feel as though I've reached a level in anything where I might unpresumptuously label myself a teacher. That's probably just anxious bullshit though. If you'd like to know anything about something I've mentioned previously, don't hesitate to ask, I'd love to share.
