Hi everyone! I'm Daniele, 26 yo from Italy but living in Rotterdam and working here as well as a research scientist.
Love music, to hang out, watching and play football and tennis but most of all meeting new people, from any country! I lived in several countries so far and I have quite a big bug travel, so I'm ready to share and listen to your experiences and have fun with you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard about this platform from a friend and I decided to give it try as an alternative way to the canonical ones to meet new people...I'm sure I won't regret it!
Plus, I appreciate the idea behind it. In such harsh times, where it's always more difficult to really trust other people for several reasons, this is the perfect tool to still believe in the human beings. What's more aggregating that sharing his own place with people in your same situation, people that might have been you?
I have the feeling this is a little step to make things move on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to different music genres, but I have to say that I'm always oriented towards rock music, or at least group having something of it in their songs! But, as I said, it really depends of the mood and other things, even a single thing in a song can generate emotions in you.
Favorite artists: Green Day, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Coldplay and really many more!
About movies, I like watching thrillers and movies which describe a real story, I'm always interested in trying to understand the characters and what's really behind them, the way they play their role.
As for movies, I prefer thriller books, especially the Swedish and Belgian ones, because I like the atmosphere and the way they describe things. Some advises: Per Sjowall, Henning Mankell, Pieter Aspe...well, those are just some!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if it can be classified as "amazing", but surely it was crazy! I spent 2014 New Year's Eve in Paris, leaving from Italy just on the 31st in the afternoon...met my friends there, had such a great time and at 6am on January 1st I was already flying back to Rome :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I usually prefer to learn, as I really think every single person we meet during our life is there for a reason and has something to tell us, good or bad doesn't really matter.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experience of having travelled for many years, so I def understand what my host really needs, being just a nice talk, a place where to stay or simply take a hot shower!
Luckily I met a lot of fantastic people while traveling, they really made me feel like home every single time, so I think I'm ready to do the same with you!
