ABOUT ME
Hello! I am an American girl living in Madrid, Spain. In 2018, I have lived here for 7 years and love it! I love traveling... getting lost in new cities and just absorbing the local vibes and culture. I like eating the food, finding the weird quirky spots in each city I visit, and sitting in parks and reading a book and people watching.
I love meeting new people and making friends wherever I go! I am a friendly, easy-going, fun, and chill person. I am opinionated, stubborn, and bad at making decisions. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I became involved with the CS community in Austin by attending/hosting a few CS get togethers and hosting people when we could back in 2009-10. I have surfed and hosted and attended many events and such, all over the US and Spain, and wherever else I've been!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately, I feel like CS is turning into a very awkward dating app that targets vulnerable travelers, so I am far more picky about who I meet, host, and stay with than I used to be. Please, don't be that guy (or girl, not discriminating). Also, if you find this offensive, you clearly dont get it and you are someone I don't want to know.
Fortunately, I have had so many amazing experiences with couchsurfers over the years that I still believe there are great people to meet everywhere. ( When I am able to host, please make sure you give me a vibe about who you are and what you're like so I can weed out the creepoids when you write me!) :)

Interessi

I love live music and exploring new bands, hula hooping, reading, knitting/crocheting, traveling, dancing, drinking, nature, and any adventure anyone drags me into!

Musica, film e libri

Books- Kurt Vonnegut is my hero. I also like kerouac and the other beat generation authors, A Song of Ice and Fire (game of thrones), palahniuk, zora neale hurston, gabriel garcia marquez, robert frost, philosophy, memoirs, and true crime anything. :)

Music- Indie, Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass, Gypsy Jazz, Rock, Disco... tons of stuff. I poorly play the ukulele and guitar as well, but you don't want to see that.

Hitchhiked through France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Traveled to almost every region of Spain.
Also love Portugal and am obsessed with Italy, want to go back asap!

(Don't believe in God but still like the quote) I'm easy to persuade to do new things, go new places, see new things, even if I seem reluctant. I love being pushed out of my comfort zone and being taken to off-the-beaten-path types of places!

Can't currently host as I'm in between homes/staying with friends temporarily.

I usually offer an easy-going, friendly, and home-like environment. I will take you all around and give you millions of suggestions if you want them, or let you do your own thing. I think it's nice to share time with my guests and eat/drink, whatever, but I also don't demand it. If you have your own things to do, I understand!
