About Me
ABOUT ME
I'd rather be outdoors. I'm firmly committed to straying from the proscribed path of school ➡job➡wife ➡kids➡retirement. I'm liberal, outgoing, adventurous, and idealistic. I'm excited to turn strangers into friends through my travels :)
Some fun facts about me: I used to be ranked 25th in the world at competitive Scrabble. Once upon a time I could juggle 7 balls
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because traveling is better when you're meeting locals! Even if I had the money to stay in hotels as I traveled, I'd always prefer to stay with friends, or future friends

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: mostly electro funk stuff like GRiZ, The Floozies, Big Gigantic, and Filibusta. That's what inspired me to learn sax. I also like Adventure Club, Illenium, Archnemesis, Savoy, and most other things I can get Dien and funky to.
Movies: Ex Machina, Ocean's 11, Rounders, Love Actually, the Departed
Books: I read a lot more articles than books (mostly the NYTimes), but a few favs include The Checklist Manifesto, Phantoms in the Brain, most Harlan Coben, and The Guinea Pig Diaries
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked 1,377 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail, and every moment was amazing!! Only stopped when I tore my meniscus 😖
What I Can Share with Hosts
An appreciative and respectful guest, an adventure partner, and possibly some beer 🍻 also, tutoring in any standardized test you can imagine if anyone is trying to go to grad school! 🎓
