24 year old physics graduate come chef. I've been working at a vegetarian vegan restaurant for a number of months trying to save up money to fund travelling in south east Asia. I'm a keen rock climber and like to train 3 or more times a week, if I'm not at work I can normally be found with my head phones in trying to get as upside down as possible at my local climbing gym.

As a life long veggie I love everything about food, cooking it, eating it, talking about it, finding the best places to buy produce or eating out. Couch surfing offers me the unique experience of being able to tap local knowledge of different food cultures, even if its just being pointed in the direction of a good market stall. Aside from food and climbing I am an avid hip-hop fan and will usually have some beats plugged into my ears, I'll never leave home without headphones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After finishing five years of studying I am embarking on a vast journey of procrastination to put off joining the real world for as long as possible. My main source of escapism is a six month trip to south east Asia, which is what brings me to investigate couch surfing. Having been recommended by my brother and sister-in-law as an excellent way to meet new people and get a feel for another country and its people I could hardly pass up the opportunity.
