About Me
Hey there ;) !
My name is Daniel and I'm a 27 year old German guy who likes to travel :) I'm broad-minded, pretty easy going, friendly and I have a veeeeery good sense of humor...I guess xD
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
That's easy to answer! Because I want to know more about other cultures, which is also a good method to get to know ones own in a better way. Reading is fine, but to travel and acutally visit other countries or inviting people over is even better.
My personal philosophy is the following:
The more we know each other (and ourselves), the better we can live together! And it might sound a little too cheesy and pathetic, but I'll mention it anyway: Once we are increasing our knowledge about others we make the world a better place! ...At least somehow xD
Interests
There are a lot of things that really grab my intention, listening to music, reading, or doing sports, for instance. And - of course- travelling is an interest of mine. I love to get to know about a foreign cultures and its history, people, tradition and its FOOD!!! :-P Yes, eating seems to be a big interest of mine as well! xD

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
Mainly rock music including offsprings like Metal and Punk. Music is a pretty huge and important part of my life!
MOVIES/SERIES
So many...Just to mention a few of my faves:
- Vanilla Sky (Check this out!)
- The Dark Knight Trilogy (Chrisitan Bale movies in general)
- Rocky 1-6 (The 5th not so much, though^^)
- Star Wars 1-7
- Forrest Gump
- Scent of a Woman
- House, M.D. (Best series ever!)
BOOKS
I really love the authors Hermann Hesse ("Der Steppenwolf") and Charles Bukowski ("Ham on rye"). In general I like these typical coming of age kind of novels like J.D. Salingers "Catcher in the rye" and such stuff.
Also non fictional literature about a lot of topics, in particular about self development, business, money, travelling etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to say if it's only one amazing thing, but one of the best choices I've ever made was the decision to go abroad, to Long Beach, CA! After living there for about half a year I knew that it wasn't the end but the beginning of my "travel career" :-)
Last year I was walking the Camino de Santiago/ The way of St. James from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France to Santiago de Compostela, Spain and I'm looking forward to discover more...
To be continued ... :)
