Overview
About Me
I'm laid back, fun, and easy to talk to. I live with my girlfriend of 4 years now in a small apartment in DeKalb, Illinois, which I would be shocked if anyone would want to travel here!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find the most valuable thing about coachsurfing is the ability to be able to experience the culture with a local. I'm much more of a cultural immersion traveler than anythubg else. Likewise, returning the favor by hosting travellers is critical to that experience.
Interests
I LOVE books, poetry, concerts, festivals, learning, hiking, food, and just generally putting myself in new situations!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge hiphop head and I adore classic literature! Am a big fans of the genre's of soul, neo-soul, funk, disco, and blues including artists like D'angelo, Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Funkadelic. Some of my favorite books are Lolita, The Stranger, Infinite Jest (anything by David Foster Wallace, Brave New World.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've climbed the tallest mountain in Poland completely unprepared, so I'd call that more stupidity than amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm heavily into nature, especially the tallgrass prairie ecosystem where I live. I am part of a prairie restoration project and would be more than happy to take someone out for a couple hours to teach them some really cool info about Illinois's unique prairies.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great conversations with a very happy dude. I'm very respectful and will help out in any way if needed around the house. Always do the dishes and pick up after myself. My girlfriend and I also cook meals sometimes for guests.
