About Me

I'm a full time student, working for the money to travel. Grew up in Northern California with lots of hippies. I was given a Waldorf education, which is focused on art and creativity, and that is still what interests me most.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's an opportunity to meet people from around the world to see how they live. I've stayed in hostels before, and while they provide a perfect chance to meet people from various countries, they don't show a traveller how locals really live.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: Various, above all classical.
Favorite movies: Tree of Life, Saving Private Ryan, Thin Red Line, Good Will Hunting, The Big Lebowski, Mad Max, pretty much any Pixar film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited about ten European cities in five weeks when I was eighteen. It was not the easiest nor the most relaxing thing I've ever done, but I learned a lot.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you about life in America and how not everyone weighs 400 pounds and carries a gun. I've lived and travelled on both coasts so I have a pretty good idea of what the US is like.

I'd love to learn about my host's culture and share my ideas, possibly change my points of view.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to relax and easy to entertain. There's no pressure on my host to impress me, since my goal is simply to see how people of other cultures really live. I'm happy to be alone or spend time together, just as long as my host is friendly and considerate of my well-being. I love conversations with people from different cultures, and I like a fair balance of going out and staying in, so I'm sure any host who is the same way would find me very easy to be around.
