My name is Daniella Janis, I am from the states. Grew up in NYC then went out west to Colorado where I graduate with a degree in Communications and Media. My mother is from Colombia and my father is from NYC. I am currently in Sri Lanka with my boyfriend who is from Amsterdam. We met while traveling. I love to the outdoors, animals and enjoy what life has to offer. I love trying everything and seeing everything, even though that is impossible. But still I am an optimist. People interest me the most because of the stories they tell, and how those stories have an resonate on me. I just finished traveling Europe and south east Asia. I spent a semester abroad in New Zealand hiking, camping and learning about the Maori culture. I guess you could say I have the travel bug big time!

I am on couch surfing to meet and live with locals to see the true side of the countries that I am in rather than the tourist side. I wanna feel and see what it is like to actually live in a country while traveling. It is important not to connect with the beauty of the land but with the people as well. That is why I am on couch surfing.
