About Me

CURRENT MISSION

a year off travelling around india and south east asia with my wife zuzka

ABOUT ME

im an easy, outgoing person who likes to discover new things and thus understand more. i made my account on couchsurfing.com because we are starting a once in a lifetime project with my wife travelling around india and southeast asia.

PHILOSOPHY

the only constant is change

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

host and surf, at the moment im travelling so just surf and exchange culture with people i meet

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

this is my first time participating on couchsurfing.com. however, throughout my life ever since i was at high school i have both hosted people at my place in bratislava and have stayed at other people's places. i think it is a wonderful way of travelling and getting to know the local custums and culture first hand. something a hotel can never offer you.

Interests

i love visual art, especially photography. i work together with my wife zuzka and you can check out our work at www.halanovalaurinc.com
i love movies, music and good conversations. i try to do yoga and meditate :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

there are many, but the first thing that came to my mind now was climbing up a sand dune. i did it a couple of years ago with my brother in morocco. we woke up still at night and went hiking up a fairly high sand dune. then we sat down and watched the sun rise over the desert. amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

okay, how about the closing scene from jarmush' broken flowers movie performed by the wonderful bill murray: "the past is gone. i know that. the future...isn't here yet, whatever it is going to be. so, all there is.....is this. the PRESENT. that is IT."

Countries I’ve Visited
