Overview
About Me
Hey there! I'm a San Francisco bay area native and a UC Berkeley alumni, with a degree in Practice of Art. I finished my undergrad career with studying abroad in Bangkok, Thailand. I currently work as an English Teacher in Madrid, but I'm a Graphic Designer by trade and I do my own personal artwork on the side.
That's the gist of me on paper.
On the day-to-day, I carry around my sketchpad, which right now is turning more into a journal of To-Do lists and entries that are three sentences max. Making art and dancing are my go-to hobbies. I popped out of my mother's womb with a paintbrush, but dancing came later when I went to my first 18+ club. Hope you can appreciate some candor...?
People say I'm funny and outgoing, and I’d like to think so, too. Silliness aside, I'm a lifelong learner of fulfillment and love to talk about personal growth. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Spotify says I really like a strange mixture between Indie Rock (Father John Misty, Patrick Watson) and Alternative RnB (SZA, Tinashe). This might imply that I'm a ratchet sap, which might not be off the mark at all.
Embarrassingly enough, a book I'm reading now is a beginner's level Spanish textbook. Yes, it does count.
I'm an avid podcast listener since I'm often on the go. I listen to a combination of wholesome conversations to people making fun of each other, like Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, On Being with Krista Tippett, and Conan O'Brien needs a friend.
I've read a whole lot of, what I like to call, "Midwestern Mom books" that have undertones of self-help and theoretical psychology. Some titles off the top of my head: "all about love" by Bell Hooks and "Essays in Love" by Alain de Botton. FYI I'm not limited to books that have "love" in the title. I hope this text section is helping me instead of hurting me.
Actually, I haven't read as much as I was forced to in University, so excuse me if I sound illiterate in person. I still manage to make a living from being an English Teacher somehow.
I'm going to dig myself further into a Cloying Hipster grave and say that my favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had a TOMOS Targa LX moped for awhile that I rode around college. It had a speed up to ~28 MPH, but it sure didn't appear that way. It was like a miniature motorcycle so I never admitted it was a moped because it sounded less cool. Needless to say it gave me some street cred that I could have used at the time. I look back on this with mild discomfort.
Well, I don't think this is an amazing "thing", but it was a life phase that you can only get away with for a short period, so I'll just leave this here.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my English and drawing powers with you. Maybe some insight into California living? What about the hyphen-American experience? No? Okay, but I can guarantee some good company! I'm open to all types of conversation, whether you like talking about politics, theory, deep meaningful life stuff, or just goof around and be silly.
If talking is not your thing and you want compensation in silence, I can heat up a mean TV dinner for ya. Hope that'll impress you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
