I am a yogi and rock climber that just finished a 3 year marathon with too much studying and not enough living. Now I'm ready to take in mountains, explore, and fill my soul again. I am in Bilbao, Spain until July, and am open to meet other couchsurfers and hear your story.

Some years ago I fully realized the thing that everyone says but I only knew rationally; life is short. I aligned with the direction my heart was pointing and started to consciously manifest my life. By following my heart I've found that doors just open and I need only walk through.

For me the goal isn't to travel; that's just a thing I do. But changing the external situation helps to snap me out of the auto pilot that is so easy to fall into. I do not wish to sleep through life but to be awake and present with the awareness that each moment is unique The degree in which I am successful with this fluctuates, but it is what I direct energy towards.

Couchsurfing has been a great way to meet new people, whether locals or travelers, and so far everyone I've been blessed to meet is amazing! It feels like I'm meeting my spread-out tribe, one person at a time.

It doesn't feel like something I did, but I rescued a broken and starving kitten recently. Rather, it feels like he rescued me. Popcorn hooked me and dug deep into my heart in a way that I couldn't walk away. He needed urgent vet care and a cast on his arm, and now has a loving and safe home. Sometimes there are happy endings.
