Our kids are getting older and my husband and I are starting to travel more individually and together - looking for ways to travel more affordably, more often, to get to know locals and make friends.

I LOVE seeing the REAL city/country I visit - exploring outside of tourist traps. Drawn to history, historical tours. Would love recommendations in your town.
