Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A few years back, my sister told me about couch surfing. She was hosting travelers and likewise being greeted into friendly homes while traveling. How rad.

Just spent the end of 2017 and most of 2018 traveling south America with a quick Portugal- israel pit stop and have been overwhelmed with the kindness of strangers. I love that there is an entire population of people willing to open their homes for fellow travellers and would love to open mine for the same.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're traveling through BC, Grand Forks may seem like an unlikely place to stop but having moved here from NB just under 3 years ago, I was lucky to meet a friendly, outgoing and inclusive group of people. Potlucks and bonfires à volonté.

Now living off the grid with a couch and some floor space. About 24km up the valley, a beautiful area. Not always easily accessible for travelers without a vehicle but there are plenty of friends places with couches and warm showers- if that's what you happen to be needing around here.
