Hi! My name is Danielle and I'm from the United States. I was born and raised in California and began my international travels about two years ago when I studied in Lyon, France. I recently graduated from college in California and now I am living in France for the year as an English assistant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I did couchsurfing recently with a few friends in France and Switzerland and I loved my experiences. I find the idea of sharing ideas, languages, culture, and experiences with new people really interesting and fun! I love learning about new cultures and I think this is an unique way to do so. So, I joined!

Interests

I love reading; I practically devour books. I love most sports but swimming and basketball in particular. I love learning new languages. I've recently become obsessed with salsa dancing. I like bachata and swing too. I can't seem to get enough of France.

Favorite Music: I listen to everything except country and some rap. I like Motown, soul, R&B, (indie) pop, and alternative music especially. My favorite artists are The Temptations, Ingrid Michaelson, Marina & the Diamonds, Arctic Monkeys, etc.
