Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Dani, im 31 and have been living and working in Korea for over 3 years now. I am originally from a small town called Chesterfield, in the north of England.
I graduated university in 2008 and after spending 4 years or so organizing other people's leisure time, I decided to focus more on my own. I quite my job in as an events co-ordiantor, got my TEFL and embarked upon a career teaching English abroad.
I enjoy teaching and I like to think I am good at it as I have quite an animated personality. I enjoy meeting people, exchanging ideas, making people laugh and finding new ways to have fun.
I love all the regular things, cooking, eating, drinking, movies and of course travel. I enjoy going to the gym and riding my bike wherever possible; but I wouldn't call myself a health nut. That would require me to take myself seriously - and believe me I have tried, but to no avail.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Gwangju has a fantastic foreigner community that welcomes people from all walks of life. I immediately felt at home here, which is one of the reasons I have stayed so long. Teachers do however come and go after a year or 2. So, as I am now saying goodbye to more and more of my mates, I would like the opportunity to make new acquaintances and share what Gwangju has to offer.
I in turn would relish the opportunity to experience new cities and communities outside of Korea.
