About Me

I'm a Brazilian girl, 31 years old that was born in an inner city near São Paulo.
I have bachelor's degree in Food Engineering and MSc in Food Science and Technology in Europe.

I consider myself a spontaneous and happy person who really enjoy living, meeting new people, learn from others and having some fun! I love to travel (especially if the words "hot weather" and "beaches" are involved) and I try to enjoy the best of every moment.

In September 2017 I decided to make a big change in my life. I quitted my job, left Brazil and moved to Europe to study in a Erasmus Master Program. During the two years of study I already lived in Belgium (Ghent and Brussels), Portugal (Porto) and Germany (Köthen and Bernburg).
After finishing my masters degree, I moved to New Zealand to find a job and settle in the country. I'm still working on that :)

From this experience I could understand literally the meaning of "Home is where your heart is" and tried my best to make everyplace to feel like home.
I learned that we don't need much to live (it is not easy to carry a house in a backpack) and got used to be called by friends as Gipsy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had an official experience in CS in 2007 when I traveled with my sister to Uruguay. After that I never used the platform again, but I noticed I was CS in friend's houses and friend's friend's house (hehehe) in an unofficial way.
So I decided to officially register in the platform to have the opportunity to meet more people while traveling.

I believe the CS platform is amazing way of getting to know people, explore the city with a local (or at least someone that knows more about it than just a tourist), share experiences, stories and make friendship!
I don't like the idea of using CS as a way to save some money on accomodation while traveling or to find someone to hook up. If you are this kind of person, I believe you are in the wrong place :/
