About Me

Howdy! I'm just your average American girl, not to be confused with the American Girl Doll collection, as I am much taller and more life-like than they are.
I was a military brat growing up, so I've been all over America. Hawaii, Alaska, Maine, Texas, Kansas, Florida, Colorado, California, Iowa, and now settled in the great state of Vermont.
I am very expressive and I can be loud. My coworkers always tell me they know when I'm not at work because of the silence. I'm a pretty friendly person, is what I hear. Despite my loud, in-your-face personality, I am actually quite shy and it's not hard to make me blush.
In any case, I am a responsible adult who is just ready to get out there and meet everyone I possibly can and experience new cultures and, oh! I cannot wait to eat all the foods of the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, but I find paying for hotels to be expensive, and I don't think I care to be locked down at one place for my entire trip. Perhaps life will take me to the next country over for a night or two, who knows? Plus, I figured this would be the best way to really experience all that my destinations have to offer. An easy way to meet new people and make new friends who might point me in the direction of a good pub or maybe an exciting new adventure!

Interests

I have a minor obsession with zombies/collapse of society and a major obsession with wilderness survival, so if you want to get together and swap best ways to start a fire without matches or lighters, I'm totally down!
I am open to all new experiences and even though it frightens me, I'm always looking to be taken out of my comfort zone. Find the thing that scares you the most and go there, right? Best way to achieve personal growth, and I am all about that! Yes, I also use a lot of exclamation points, I'm just very excited about everything!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music types. Honestly. I have everything in my music playlist from Garth Brooks to Iggy Azalea, Wardruna to Twenty One Pilots, Loveable Rogues to Bach and Mozart. Everyone can find something they like in my music library.

My favorite movies are probably The Hunger Games and Catching Fire (not Mockingjay part 1 and 2, I think they were very anticlimactic). Fight Club, The A-Team, Zombieland and House Bunny are also all on my list of movies I enjoy.

And Books! Oh, where to start! I'll try to keep this one brief, as it could probably go on for pages and pages. Love the Hunger Games Trilogy, anything by Chuck Palahniuk, and the Bloody Jack book series by LA Meyer. Yes, I was also super into Harry Potter when I was in grade school. I was one of four people in the Harry Potter club at my high school (of 1200 kids). I may have been a bit of a nerd, but that's okay.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I won the local level contest for Talent Quest (karaoke competition) and was flown out to Vegas for the international competition in 2015.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could show you how to knit? Or possibly make some bomba$$ gluten-free peanut butter cookies? I am an open book and I enjoy helping others learn, and I love learning new skills myself!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am good at cleaning and cooking, and I am willing to help with purchasing any groceries during my stay! I can babysit, walk dogs, clip doggie nails, lawn work, I am a pretty helpful person.

Countries I’ve Visited

England, Jamaica
