Overview
About Me
I have been quite the vagabond these past couple of years and have finally decided that Northern California is fantastically fitting for myself. I plan on going to Butte College/Chico State to finish my English degree and expand on my Child Development Associates.
I consider myself a genuine and admirable person who has love for all people and nature alike. I love to learn and I find people to be very fascinating. I can be quite shy or awkward at first but that quickly fades (at least the shyness part). I have such a passion for meeting new people, so I've learned to overcome that trait of mine.
I can become comfortable in pretty much any situation with any sort of person and once that happens- I am going to want to laugh (even if it's at myself), and dance, share all sorts of life experiences, make memories, and hopefully learn and explore together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ultimate Goal: To explore. To learn. To grow. To share.
Current Goal: To meet people with similar interests that can show me around Chico once I'm there and have a good time. I am also looking for work and a place to reside and may need a couch to crash on for a short time so that I am able to search around before school starts this Fall.
Interests
I love everything from being outdoors (rock climbing, hiking, camping, biking, swimming), to group exercises (pilates, zumba, kick boxing, yoga), to just relaxing at home watching movies, reading, or playing/snuggling with my dog Cooper (he has a place to stay while i surf).
I also have a lot of fun finding new recipes and cooking for others or going out to a place where they serve good food and can enjoy a few delicious craft brews.
Oh, and if someone decides to take me to a show/concert, they really couldn't take a more excited person. I'm into music, dance, theater, comedy, poetry slams... you name it, I'll gladly go.
Let's just say I am interested in trying to find adventure in every aspect of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books
My interests in these categories vary so much that it would be difficult for me to list. I am very open minded and easy going so I can get into pretty much anything. I do enjoy going out to movies (if it wasn't so insanely over priced), and I love seeing live performances and supporting local bands.
I find the American a cappella group, Pentatonix to be crazy talented and everyone should check them out. But let's see, as of today, I have been listening to a band called Until The Ribbon Breaks, which would give you somewhat of an idea of what I'm interested in at the moment.
Lately, because of going through many rough patches these past couple of years, I have been a little into self-meditative/self-improvement reads (just being honest, haha). "The Untethered Soul" by Michael Singer gave me many new perspectives on life, I would recommend it to anyone.
As far as movies go, I am easily entertained, but The Labyrinth (yes, the 80's one with David Bowie) will always be my number one.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacked the 5-Day Salkantay Trek and hiked to the top of Machu Picchu solo (no guide) with my 45 pound backpack, and dominated!
