ABOUT ME
If my friends were asked about me, I think they would say that I'm very adventurous, loyal, fearless, and not afraid of trying new things.
Interests
I've lived and studied in Eastern Europe for the past four years. I've lived in Russia, Poland, Hungary, and now I'm living with my husband in Ukraine. I got my MA in Central European History at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. I have a passion for Russian history, literature, culture, language, and politics. I also really love Polish and Ukrainian history very much. I also enjoy learning new languages. I speak Russian fluently and I know some Polish and Ukrainian. I'm also a classical trained pianist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow left me completely awestruck when I first arrived in Moscow 4 years ago this June. It was just incredible. My entire life I've been interested in Russian things and here was the very symbol of Russia right in front of me. It was hard not to become overcome with emotion.
Another time was in the Peter and Paul Fortress in Saint Petersburg where I saw the burial places of the Tsars and Tsarinas as well as many of the prison cells of my favorite Russian revolutionaries including Nikolai Chernyshevsky, Vera Figner, and Leon Trotsky. I liked that very much.
