Hello!! I am new to couch surfing. I have just started and I think it's such an unique and authentic way to travel. I am from the small town of Somerville NJ, I lived, studied and worked in NYC for 10 years until 2011 I moved to Mallorca, Spain to teach English. I am currently residing in Lanzarote, the Canary Islands Spain. I am a photographer, traveler, environmentalist and I love outdoor sports and nature.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Beginner surfer- and I am currently having my first experience in Denmark and Sweden- so stay tuned :)

Nature, scuba diving & snorkeling and looking for sea creatures :) , surfing, sailing!!!! photography, cycling, journalism, music . My family and friends, art, animals, cooking, climbing, hiking, deep water soloing, meeting new people and learning about different cultures and their history. I love the ocean and am so lucky to be close to it.

MUSIC: I grew up listening to Phil Collins, the Beatles, Huey Lewis and the News, and still enjoy them all (huge Beatles fan, John Lennon especially) I went through a punk rock phase in high school, cutting my hair short and dressing like a boy, listening to Rancid, NOFX, Bouncing Souls, Green Day, Op Ivy, crowd surfing every summer at the Vans Warped Tour in Asbury Park, in college I was listening to Death From Above, The Knife, Radiohead, The Smiths, The Pixies, I went through Dave Grohl/Foo Fighters and Gary Lightbody/Snow Patrol obsessions, and now I continue to listen to the classics, The Clash, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, David Bowie, Elton John, and all of the above. Live music has always been a huge part of my life, a place I can go swoon, sing my heart out, or visualize the day I will be playing in a band too ;)
