About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I was working as an English teacher in Spain for four years doing photography on the side and in September I'm moving to the Canary Islands to work as a wedding photographer.

I've spent the last four years doing lots of traveling, trying to get to know local places/people. Couchsurfing has been an incredible travel tool - I love the authentic experience it can provide. It's beautiful to see how quick people are to open up their home and share their culture with someone else.

My passion - photography, goes hand in hand with travelling; my camera is really the only thing I need when I'm on the road.

I also love natural health and learning about how food can be used to cure the body.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with an awesome host in Santander, Spain, who, upon finding out it was my birthday, made reservations for my friend and I at an adorable restaurant and then even joined us for karaoke (which apparently he hates, although you'd never know it ;) )

A guy from Morocco hosted me and a friend in San Sebastian and made us some awesome Moroccan food and tea.

In a little town in Spain, Cuenca, our host gave us a walking tour, treated us to some delicious local fare, and brought us to hang out at his workplace - basically a giant obstacle course for adults.

Another amazing experience in Copenhagen - my host rode his bike to meet me at the airport, taught me about dumpster diving, and that when it's too cold it's okay to stay in, make pumpkin soup and binge watch Dexter (seriously though - what a show!)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a little obsession with Michael Jackson;
Brand New is my favorite band
Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys will always have a special place in my heart
I like everything except like house music

Know a classic movie? I probably haven't seen it.

TV shows - Shameless, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Master of None

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

EGYPT - wanted to go there since I first learned about mummies in 4th grade
Floating in the dead sea was so cool, as was all of Israel <3
