Hey CS community!

I'm a 25 year old Canadian currently on a 5 month trip through Aus, NZ and Indonesia (hopefully Fiji too if the money gods allow).

I love experiencing new places, new cultures, new foods and above all meeting new people from all around the world. It fuels my love of travel, which started in 2014 with my first backpacking trip to Europe. Since then I've tried to get out of Canada every year, and so far I've managed to get to Europe, south east Asia and now Oceania.

Im outgoing, personable, and fun. I love being active and being outdoors, and definitely would describe myself as a "yes" kind of person as I'm always up for something or trying new things.

This is my first solo backpacking trip and I am currently loving every minute of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm CS to hopefully save money that way I can make the most of my travels, but I also think it gives the very unique local perspective of a place you might not always get as a tourist. And I truly do try to be a traveller not a tourist. I want to know where to go that might be off the beaten track or not found in your typical lonely planet.

This is my first time trying couch surfing, and have had so many friends recommend it to me I knew I needed to try it.

Interests

My interests obviously include travel and all it entails, meeting new people, seeing new places, trying new things and learning about new cultures. Im a bit of a history nerd, I love live music, dancing (even though I've been told I'm no good; all a matter of perspective I say), karaoke, this admittedly I am bad at, and I love trying new beers, definitely a true Canadian.

Other interests include movies, sports, all kinds of music etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked full time in uni so I graduated debt free which is why I'm able to travel now (biggest accomplishment to date)

Current goal is to visit 30 countries by the time I'm 30, currently at 15 (WOO) - South America is my next travel destination

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a great sense of humour, always able to laugh at myself and the many misadventures that come along with life and travelling. Also I can share a sense of gratitude, I think its amazing people are willing to open up their homes to strangers that hopefully become friends, and extend this global network of backpackers.
