When I look around I think this is good enough and I try to laugh at whatever life brings because when I look down, I just miss all of the good stuff and when I look up I just trip over things.

ABOUT ME

I am Danielle and currently I am an au pair in the Netherlands. I came to Europe after graduating University and having a big urge in me to see the world. Since being here, I've come to love Europe and feel right at home. So much so that I don't want to leave! I love meeting new people and getting the opportunity to experience and learn about new cultures.

I am a laid back and easy going person and I can get along with just about anyone. I believe in giving everyone a chance and not judging them too quickly. I also believe in being able to laugh at yourself, which comes in handy when I trip in public or bust out some ridiculous dance moves like the running man or the sprinkler. Feel free to also laugh at me. Laughing is one of my favorite things...If you can make me laugh, we'll get along just fine.

I can also be quite the party animal...my friends know when they go out with me they are in for a long and crazy night. Some might call me the energizer bunny. I can also enjoy a relaxing night too but what fun is sleeping when there is so much to see and do?!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great!! I think it is such a great way to really see the city you are visiting. Staying with a local gives you an insider's look and makes traveling so much more fun!

Música, películas y libros

Almost any music is good with me! I especially like rock, alternative rock...but I have a hard time classifying the music I listen to when people ask. Electronic, dub-step and the like. When I am at home I can enjoy some good country music with all my hick friends. Since moving to the Netherlands, I have started to really enjoy Dutch music as well...even if I can only understand about half of what is being said. It is still fun to try and sing along!
