ABOUT ME

i've been living in san francisco since may 2009, enjoy dancing and hooping and yoga. i don't currently work and have all my time to myself, or to share, or do as i please. i don't eat wheat and avoid sugars, which limits my diet to mostly healthful, whole foods. i like to see just about any type of live music, but prefer smaller venues. i almost never go to sleep at a decent hour, like a child that asks to stay up another 5 minutes...even as i type this it is waaaay past my bedtime....my roommates are colin, 27, rigoberto, 24, and sean, 24. they're all pretty cool, and will be quite pleased to meet you.

PHILOSOPHY

children and dogs philosophy.

dogs and children think shit is sooo serious. like dogs, it seems, think their job to sniff absolutely everyhing and walk as fast as they can at the end of a rope is really important. sometimes they just really must have that ball that's way under the couch (you're like, "hey, i'm sleeping here, Fido..."). and small children cry over the most minor things. but that scoop of blue moon that just fell off the cone onto the ground is such a big deal!!! it's like the most important thing in their life at that moment. and take their ball away?? forget it.

so is that what we're all like here? dogs peeing on trees and toddlers (not) sharing toys? seems silly. but then at the same time, what if we just stopped sniffing around? and what if we all stopped crying?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i surfed in spain, france and italy. we had to cut back on couchsurfers because of a few that wouldn't leave (ok, they were bedbugs), but they're gone now and if you seem like you'd really click i MIGHT be able to talk the guys into having a guest.You are most likely to score my couch if you have a detailed profile with some decent references and a few pictures that make me think we'd have something in common. Also, please have a good idea of how you'd like to spend your time while in San Francisco and include some examples in your message to me regarding how you like to spend time in cities where you travel. There is SOOOO MUCH to do here, if you don't have any ideas, I won't know where to start in helping you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

my first experience: this guy had a constant rotation of like 5 surfers on mattresses all over his two-bedroom flat. every night. very cool guy.

兴趣

i often try to imagine the motives for an individual's or group's behavior (and sometimes i wonder about my own). i love *stuff* and sometimes i wish i could get over it. (ha, i wrote that a while ago and i really am starting to grow out of that) but i believe one's junk is another's treasure, so i feel good about making treasures from junk. i enjoy shoes but i hate to shop for them. i love LOVE the beach but i hardly ever go in the water. it's the people watching that delights me.

i'm quite talented at getting stains out of clothes and might be able to mend them with my sewing machine.
