About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling the world one step at a time. Hanging with the locals because I know it's a much better perspective!

ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Danielle and I am 22 years old, about to be 23! I study Hotel Management in the crazy sin city, Las Vegas. I grew up in a small town in northern Nevada so i'm not as crazy as you might have already thought! I'm extremely outgoing, friendly, and open minded. I love meeting new people every where I go, it's so refreshing! I especially love chatting it up with other travelers because they have the best stories to tell!
I have studied abroad in Germany in 2013! As everyone might say that experience is life changing and it definitely was! Because now I am headed back to Europe this summer and I can't wait to reconnect with all the beautiful people I have met. I never thought traveling to Europe was going to be in my small college budget. But I am a hard working individual who really believes anything is possible if you are determined enough! So here I am living a dream of mine and going back to Europe a second time! And couch surfing along the way, there isn't any other way to travel!

I do live in Las Vegas and would love to hang out and show people around until I leave again. I can't currently host people because of my roommate living situation but I am hoping to start once I come back in August!

PHILOSOPHY

"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

This quote sums up how I feel about couch surfing, we may be traveling to all these beautiful places but it's the beautiful people you meet along the way that create the memories that last forever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have my older brother to thank for getting me into couch surfing. His crazy free spirit started traveling/surfing the U.S a few years back and hosted many foreigners in Las Vegas. I was lucky enough to hang around with the people he did host. Because they've already become lifelong friends and now I'm here visiting a few along the way!

I'm new to couch surfing myself, but had no doubts about jumping right into once I decided I'd be traveling this semester while I'm in Germany.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had an awesome experience in Milano, Italy couch surfing for the first time this September. My hosts were absolutely amazing and totally made the trip perfect! Meeting people from all around the world, I can't get enough of it! I hope to continue a positive experience. Can't wait to go more places!:D

Interests

I love going out with friends and making new friends. I can't lie but I'm a sucker for shopping, my weakness. Outdoors keeps me calm, nothing better than some nature! I dig tennis, hiking, CLIMBING (my newest favorite), biking and just about anything that makes my blood russhhh!

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE music. Listening to some now! Rap, hip hop, r&b, indie rock, indie dance, EDM, house, reggae, top 40, country. Just about anything I can dance too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying abroad has really opened my eyes to the world and I am very excited to continue my travels. I have met amazing people and hope that it continues everywhere I go!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love meeting fellow travelers and LEARNING from others that have wisdom on life and traveling in general. I think couch surfing is the perfect opportunity for just that. I have met nothing but incredible people in the process :) I have quite the tendency to bring along people completely new to the concept and I just hope to teach them the beauty of the concept! I think teaching about couch surfing and sharing your experiences is a perfect way to learn more :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Keep your hospitality as open and as pleasant as if someone were hosting you. I know how grateful I am when a host goes out of their way to show us around for a day. It truly changes my whole trip and I hope I can do that for people who come where I live!
