ABOUT ME

Hmmmm....where to begin? I've been living out of a backpack for a couple of years now, doing contract work as a fisheries biologist up in Alaska followed by excursions to various exotic locales (rinse, repeat). I've done loads of couch surfing in my time, just never officially. I'm currently relocating to the Oregon Coast to try out four walls and a roof of my own, and to be closer to family. Oh, and I'm a gemini and enjoy hiking, diving, reading, yoga and long walks on the beach.

During my recent experiment in domestication I had the pleasure of hosting loads of you fine people--thank you all so much for sharing your travels, adventures and passions with me--it's positively contagious.

Wandering this beautiful world, reading, yoga-ing, diving, hiking, writing, chatting, coffee-ing...actually I think I'm interested in just about everything and enjoy just about everything.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies circa 1980-1998, i.e. Point Break, BLOODSPORT, Best of the Best, Heathers, all the John Hughes flicks...I do like good movies too, don't worry. For tunes I like all genres but am currently on a folk/rock kick--lots of Brett Dennen, The Waifs, The Devil Makes Three, Brandi carlile, etc. I also love me some Punk. I am a voracious reader. Tom Robbins is king. Daniel Quinn, Douglas Coupland and many many more grace my bookshelves.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I swam with 20 or so Spinner Dolphins while diving in Honduras. Freakin' awesome.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I think that we all have very unique gifts whether we're aware of them or not. We can learn from everyone and everything around us. From the guy next to you on the bus to the birds in the sky, life is rich with lessons if we only have the eyes, ears and hearts to comprehend them. As far as what I have to share...I'd say joy, gratitude, and a very deep love for life. And I always have a good stash of chocolate.
