我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I arrived in China the week after Mom was killed, and although I both wrote her obituary and gave her eulogy mere days before catching my flight to Shanghai, I'm still a chipper student on a quest to meet my Chinese family and to see the country and master the language of my mother and kin!

Chinese-American from the United States of America: born in Ohio, raised in Indiana and Las Vegas, Nevada, and studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. I've been to almost every corner of the contiguous U.S.

MY HERITAGE

My American family on my dad's side comes from Kansas, and since we would often drive to family reunions, I've seen huge swathes of the United States. On my American side, I'm of European descent, including bits of Austrian, German, Scots-Irish, Bohemian, Romanian and Russian. My Chinese family on my mom's side comes almost entirely from Hunan, though I've relatives also in Beijing, Guangzhou and Kunming!

CHINA TRAVELS

In China, I've traveled to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Zhejiang Xitang, Zhejiang Hangzhou, Zhejiang Anji and Beijing!

By summer's end, I aim to have seen Jiangsu Suzhou, Jiangsu Nanjing, Hunan Changsha, Hunan Shaoyang, Hubei Wuhan and Chongqing! I hope someday to see relatives too in Yunnan Kunming and Guangzhou Guangdong.
