ABOUT ME

I'm a man, I am 43 years old. My wife Nicky is a bit older, and Amazon the cat is the baby of the family.Nicky has her own profile (Nicky Bettany).We have been hosting couchsurfers and travellers for a long time and have been couchsurfing hosts for 6 years. We can reasonably accommodate 1 couchsurfing guest at a time.

If you are a group requesting to stay anywhere please make sure that each seperate person has a Couchsurfing profile of their own (basic Couchsurfing protocol).

My friends say I am a generous person.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Winter in Edinburgh is cold.We kind of hibernate, but don't expect you to.
We live on a minimal income, and need our surfers to understand that (unfortunately/alas we have had to sell our red carpet).
ie: expectancy level needs to be be correctly adjusted for the enviroment.

We are not right in the city centre but there are plenty of buses to take you there.
We live in the forgotten part of a regeneration area in the hipster capital of Europe.
We enjoy meeting new people and making them watch films with us, cooking and eating.Dan loves Reggae music, Nicky not so much (Amazon generally non-plussed).

Interests

Music, differences, movies, cycling and learning the routes in many different ways. We are interested in meeting new people and introducing them to the neighbourhood!
